Now piloting on the Sunshine Coast, with small tests in Warwick, Gympie and Woodgate

A Real Kommunity.

The local app for the neighbours, businesses and causes that make a place feel like home — a positive local feed, the businesses you love, a marketplace kept in the kommunity, and a place for the people who show up for each other.

Why ARK

A local app that brings people together, not apart.

Life gets busy, and it's easy to lose touch with the people right around us. ARK makes it simple to notice your neighbours again, back the local businesses you love and lend a hand where it's needed. Small acts of kindness add up, and that's what makes a real kommunity.

Positive by design

A local feed for good news, events and neighbours helping neighbours — not complaints and suspicion. Everything else you need sits right alongside it.

Local first, always

Made for real places like Noosa, not for endless scrolling. Every region gets its own feed, and we grow one region at a time.

One trusted account

One account for everything, shared only with verified locals — so you always know who you're dealing with.

We're an ordinary family doing our best — and it breaks our hearts to watch kommunity disappear. ARK was born from long days, second chances and the people who stood by us when it mattered most. Read our story →

Our story

Built on second chances.

Sebastien Arnold, founder of ARK

I'm Sebastien — a dad of three, a Loop Oils co-owner, and someone who was given second chances by people who didn't have to. This is why I'm building ARK.

My mum raised us on her own. In my twenties I lost my way — until a phone call from a step-brother I hadn't heard from since I was four brought me to Warwick. There, the Condamine Sports Club's committee and general manager backed me when I had nothing. Warwick is where I was reborn.

Noosa is where I grew again: long shifts in the kitchens of Hastings Street, then Loop Oils, with 1:30am starts so I can be there for my kids. Along the way I learned that love and kindness are the key — and ARK is how I pass that on.

Everything I have, I have because someone believed in me when I couldn't believe in myself — my mum, my step-brother, a club committee in a country town, Kayla. ARK is how I pass that on, so we can look after ourselves and each other: unite and conquer, not divide and conquer. One town at a time.

What's inside

Eight reasons to open it every week.

Local Feed

Your region, not the whole internet — the Sunshine Coast, Warwick, Gympie and Woodgate each get their own. A feed for the people who actually live near you — neighbours, events, local finds — with a weekly recap so you never miss a thing.

Business Directory

The local businesses you love, easy to find and free to list. Featured puts a business at the top of its category, right in front of the neighbours who'll actually walk in.

Marketplace

Buy, sell and lend, kept in the kommunity — free by design, with an optional $12 one-off boost for extra reach (free for non-profits).

Kommunity Outreach

The local groups and causes looking for a hand, right nearby — always free, because every listing here is already doing good.

World Feed & Watch

Your friends first, wherever they live. Watch has two feeds: World, friends first, and Local, just your region. Your region's best moments reach the world through ARK Stories, only when you choose.

Friends & your own page

Add friends, react and share. Every member gets a personal page — or a business or kommunity-group page with hours, links and a booking button.

What's on

Markets, footy, fundraisers and live music in one local calendar. Anyone verified can add an event, and you'll see what's coming up this week at a glance.

Offers & Local Rewards

Claim member-only deals from local businesses and earn points for the good stuff — backing local, helping a cause, mentoring. Climb from Neighbour to Local, Local Champion and Kommunity Legend — Local Champions unlock reserved offers.

For local businesses

Free to list, always. Pay only for a bigger spotlight.

Listing your business costs nothing, ever. Featured puts you at the top of your category — and registered non-profits and charities get Featured free.

Featured

$35/month

The top of your category, a Featured badge and your own page — right in front of the neighbours already looking for what you do.

Premium

$60/month

Everything in Featured, plus a turn in the spotlight on the home feed — so the whole kommunity sees you, not just people already browsing your category. $60/month total; it replaces Featured, it isn't on top of it.

Member offers & Founding badge

Post a deal only verified locals can claim, and see exactly who came in for it. The first 50 businesses to back ARK keep a Founding Business badge for good, plus a Founding Featured price below $35, set with our first businesses.

For non-profits, causes & volunteers

Completely free. Full stop.

Share what help you need, and the neighbours who can actually show up will see it — no fee, no tier, no catch. Every listing in Outreach is already doing good, so there's nothing to charge for.

The ARK Foundation

5% of Directory revenue goes back to registered local charities the kommunity picks itself — nominated by the outreach partners already on ARK and decided by member vote. It starts as our own giving program and becomes a registered not-for-profit as ARK grows.

Separately from the Foundation, ARK runs free-entry prize draws: you enter by inviting a neighbour, never by spending money.

The Foundation also funds ARK Scholarships for young locals, apprentices, first-time business owners and volunteers — each paired with a mentor from a business already on ARK.

Causes can add a Donate link to their Outreach listing, so anyone — here or further away — can give straight to them. ARK never touches the money.

For students & graduates

Your first step, with a local business behind you.

It's easier to picture a future when you can see it close to home. ARK puts placements, roles and mentors from your own region in one place — from a course placement, to paid work, to a graduate role.

Jobs & Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships, course placements, paid internships, casual and graduate roles posted by local businesses — every paid role shows its pay up front, and apprentices can pair with a local trades mentor.

ARK Mentorships

Free mentoring from local business owners and experienced members, matched by what you want to learn.

ARK Scholarships

Coming with the ARK Foundation: member-voted scholarships, including tools & start-up support for apprentices. Scholars are matched to a mentor first.

How a region opens

Every region is led by people its town already trusts.

ARK doesn't arrive in a town with a marketing team. Each region opens through its local leads — people who already show up for their kommunity, and who the neighbours already know by name. It's how ARK began, and it's how every region will grow.

Chosen from the kommunity

Leads come from the town itself — an active member, a club committee, a local business owner people already rely on. We get to know them long before we ever ask. Never a stranger sent in from somewhere else.

What a lead does

Welcomes new members, introduces the local businesses that hold the town together, finds a local cause to get behind, and is the friendly face of ARK in town — someone you can actually have a chat with.

Never on their own

Leads catch up every month with each other and with us, sharing what's working from town to town — side by side, not top-down. Bob Hope, leading our soft start in Woodgate, is the first.

Fair from day one

Leads volunteer to start. Once their region is standing on its own, they're paid from that region's own revenue — a share of the local business listings and boosts they bring on — so what a town earns helps that town grow.

Built to be a good neighbour

Honest moderation, not a promise it never fails.

Every post can be reported, and anything reported by three members is pulled from view automatically — before anyone has to notice it first. Brand-new accounts' World Feed posts are held for review for their first 24 hours, and every business, marketplace, outreach, job and offer listing is checked before it appears. It isn't perfect, and we say so: moderation here is honest, ongoing work, done by real people who live here too.

Noosa first, with Warwick, Gympie and Woodgate alongside. Then wherever the demand is.

ARK is starting at home on the Sunshine Coast, in Noosa, with small kommunity-led tests in Warwick, Gympie and Woodgate — run by people those towns already trust. After that, we go wherever people ask for it.
